Our Mission: to provide visibility, resources , and opportunities for Caribbean screen actors across the region and Diaspora.

Telling our stories is a nuanced experience that Caribbean auteurs have cultivated through independent and coproductions with rapid growth in recent years.

The industry's growth can spur major opportunity for our acting talent, home and abroad. Locally, thespians that have come up in the theatre space can expand their portfolios to the screen; while young and emerging talent can start their careers at the height of this boom. Internationally, Caribbean screen actors don't lead with heritage and creators are struggling to cast Caribbean characters authentically.

The problem b/dscvrd will solve is the limited discoverability of talent to film and tv creator. Our approach is to build a space for digital centralization of talent, couple with our specialized casting services, bringing the way Caribbean filmmakers cast talent into a networked space.

We’re always seeking partners and interested advocates for BIPOC representation in television and film to help us reach more actors as we build the SLATE directory.
