Production Description
Casting "The Caddy Club," a family feature from award-winning writer/director Kafi Kareem where four junior golf trainees discover a magical portal to an ancestral realm, meeting mystical elders who grant them powers to fight neighbourhood crime.
Synopsis
12-year-olds Keisha, Ryan, Akil and 9-year-old Jamal get into trouble with a kind-hearted policeman who enlists them in an after-school golf programme to keep young mischief makers like them occupied and off the streets. When Keisha hits a ball into the roughs on the golf course, she and Ryan discover a secret hole with an invisible portal to an ancestral realm. All four kids cross over to the magical realm where they meet with mystical ancestors who bestow upon them gifts of love, courage, discernment and wisdom to fight crime lords who want to recruit young children for their street gangs. But the Caddy Club’s new gifts come with one important condition — they must keep their crime fighting a secret. Determined to save their friends from a gang life, the four kids take up the challenge to covertly defeat their neighbourhood gang leader, and the Caddy Club is born.
