Meet Chris
Chris M. Hutchinson is a Toronto-based Jamaican dialect coach with 20 years of acting experience.
The Kingston-born stage/screen actor and director, spent the majority of his career starring in plays with Jambiz international under the tutelage of Patrick Brown – and touring with the company across the Caribbean, in South Florida, New York City, and the Greater Toronto Area.
He went on to star in commercial projects for Heineken, LIME Jamaica, Red Stripe, and Canada’s Home Hardware. Chris' film resume includes Chris Browne's 2011 feature Ghett'a Life, New Caribbean Cinema's 2012 film project Ring Di Alarm, Jeremy Whittaker's 2014 feature film Destiny and his role as JD Wales in Allen J. Redwing's 2015 short film Punkin Pie.
Chris has coached actors of different ages and experience levels in script analysis and character study. He is available virtually and in-person within Canada to coach actors on Jamaican dialect and language performance.
